Personalized Programs
Your progress is dependent upon a carefully planned outline of goals. These goals are discussed with you upon your evaluation and then designed with your overall health, abilities and home situation in mind. Once your routine of physical, occupational or speech therapy has been developed, our therapists will assist you throughout the course of your rehab program.
Therapy Services
Work Conditioning is a rehabilitation program that prepares a client for return to work through conditioning to improve biomechanical, neuromuscular, cardiovascular and metabolic functions of a worker, with real or simulated work activities.
Work Hardening is a rehabilitation program designed to restore functional and work capacities to the injured worker through application of graded work simulation. Included are activities designed to improve overall physical condition, including strength, endurance, and coordination specific to work activity, as well as means for coping with any remaining symptoms from the original problem, such as pain.
Aquatic Therapy or Pool therapy is physical/occupational therapy that is performed in the water. Aquatic therapy use the resistance of water instead of weights. It aims to rehabilitate patients after injury or those with chronic illness, avoiding the amount of weight placed on the joints by exercise outside the water. Patients are one on one with a therapist in the water with you.
Our therapists also deals with swallowing disorders and difficulties.

Fluidotherapy is a heat and desensitization therapy used to ease hypersensitive nerve injuries.
Cold Low Level Laser Therapy is for sprains, strains, acute and chronic inflammation, carpel tunnel syndrome and other soft tissue injuries.
How do I get started?
A referral from your doctor for a specific form of therapy will initiate the process to begin your rehabilitation program. Outpatient therapies are covered by most insurance plans, including private plans, worker’s compensation plans and some HMO’s. Specific benefits will vary depending on the carrier and the plan, and our staff will gladly coordinate with your insurance carrier.

Aquatic Therapy
Hamilton Memorial Hospital offers water-based treatments or exercises of therapeutic intent, in particular for relaxation, fitness, and physical rehabilitation. Treatments and exercises are performed while floating, partially submerged, or fully submerged in water. Our specialized temperature-controlled pool allow for rehabilitation that commonly focuses on improving the physical function associated with illness, injury, or disability.
Aquatic therapy encompasses a broad set of approaches and techniques, including aquatic exercise, physical therapy, aquatic bodywork, and other movement-based therapy in water .
